Setting Up Your Account

Your account profile is important for communication and identification within the ChefOrdering platform. This guide will help you complete your profile and configure important account settings.

Follow the steps below to ensure your account is properly set up.

Step 1: Complete Your Profile

Add your personal and business information to your profile.

  • Click on your profile icon in the top right corner
  • Select "Profile Settings" from the dropdown menu
  • Fill in your name, business name, and contact details
  • Upload a profile photo (optional but recommended)

Step 2: Verify Your Email

Verify your email address to ensure you receive important notifications.

  • Check your inbox for the verification email
  • Click the verification link in the email
  • If you didn't receive it, request a new verification email

Step 3: Add Phone Number (Optional)

Add your phone number for additional security and communication options.

  • Go to Profile Settings
  • Enter your phone number in the contact section
  • Verify your phone number via OTP

Step 4: Set Up Security

Secure your account with a strong password.

  • Use a strong password with at least 8 characters
  • Include uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters
  • Change your password regularly for better security

Step 5: Configure Notifications

Choose which notifications you want to receive.

  • Go to Settings → Notifications
  • Enable email notifications for orders and messages
  • Set your notification preferences

For Buyers:

  • • Business name and address
  • • Contact person details
  • • Delivery preferences
  • • Payment information

For Suppliers:

  • • Business name and registration details
  • • Business address and contact information
  • • Product categories you supply
  • • Delivery areas and minimum order requirements

For Sales Representatives:

  • • Full name and contact details
  • • Territory or region
  • • Assigned buyers list

Security Best Practices

  • Never share your password with anyone
  • Log out when using shared computers
  • Keep your contact information up to date
  • Report any suspicious activity immediately
