Before you can order from a marketplace supplier, you need to send a connection request. The supplier reviews your request and can accept or decline. Once accepted, you can immediately start browsing their full catalog and placing orders.
Browse the marketplace and find a supplier you want to work with.
On the supplier's profile page, click the "Connect with Supplier" button (purple button at the top of the page).
Tip: The button is prominently displayed near the supplier's name and logo.
A dialog box appears where you can add an optional message to introduce yourself.
Example Message:
"Hi! We're a family-owned Italian restaurant in the downtown area. We're looking for a reliable supplier for fresh vegetables and dairy products. We typically order 2-3 times per week. Looking forward to working with you!"
Click the "Send Request" button to submit your connection request.
✓ Request Sent! The supplier will be notified via email and in-app notification.
After sending your request, the status changes to "Pending".
The page automatically checks for status updates every 5 seconds while your request is pending. You don't need to manually refresh the page!
You'll receive a notification when the supplier responds
You'll also receive an email confirmation
Once the supplier accepts your request, several things happen automatically:
Write a clear, professional message that helps the supplier understand your needs
Mention your restaurant type, location, and what products you're interested in
Suppliers typically respond within 24-48 hours. The page auto-refreshes so you'll know immediately
Make sure their products, delivery options, and minimum order match your needs before connecting
