Review and respond to buyer connection requests

How Connection Requests Work

When buyers discover your business in the marketplace, they can send connection requests. You'll receive notifications and can review each request before accepting or rejecting.

Receiving Notifications

When a buyer sends a connection request, you receive:

In-App Notification

Appears in your notifications panel with buyer's name and optional message

Email Notification

Sent to your registered email address with request details

Reviewing Requests

Steps:

  1. Go to Buyers page from main navigation
  2. Look for the "Pending Requests" section at the top
  3. Review buyer information:
    • Business name
    • Location
    • Optional message from buyer

Accepting Requests

Click the Accept button to approve a connection request.

What Happens Next:

  • Buyer automatically appears in your Active Buyers list
  • Buyer receives in-app notification
  • Buyer receives email confirmation
  • Buyer can immediately view your full catalog and place orders
  • You can set custom pricing for this buyer

Rejecting Requests

Click the Reject button to decline a connection request.

Note: Rejected requests are removed from your pending list. The buyer is not notified of the rejection.

Best Practices

Respond Promptly

Review and respond to requests within 24-48 hours to maintain good buyer relationships

Read Buyer Messages

Pay attention to optional messages - they often contain important information about buyer needs

Follow Up

After accepting, send a welcome message to introduce yourself and discuss their needs
