When and how you can cancel your orders

Overview

As a buyer, you can cancel orders under certain conditions. The ability to cancel depends on the current status of your order. Once an order reaches certain stages, cancellation may no longer be possible.

⚠️ Important: Always communicate with your supplier before canceling an order, especially if it's already been confirmed. This helps maintain good business relationships.

When You Can Cancel

PENDING Status

Can Cancel

Orders in PENDING status can be canceled freely. The supplier hasn't confirmed the order yet, so cancellation has minimal impact.

✓ Safe to cancel - No supplier action taken yet

CONFIRMED Status

Can Cancel (with caution)

You can still cancel confirmed orders, but the supplier has already accepted your order. It's recommended to contact them first via order chat or messages.

⚠️ Contact supplier first - They've committed to your order

PROCESSING Status

Can Cancel (urgent contact needed)

Orders being processed can technically be canceled, but the supplier is already preparing your items. You MUST contact the supplier immediately before canceling.

⚠️ Urgent - Supplier is preparing your order

OUT_FOR_DELIVERY Status

Cannot Cancel

Once an order is out for delivery, it cannot be canceled. The order is already on its way to you.

✗ Too late - Order is in transit

DELIVERED Status

Cannot Cancel

Delivered orders cannot be canceled. If there are issues with the delivery, contact the supplier to discuss returns or refunds.

How to Cancel an Order

Navigate to Your Orders

Path: Dashboard → Orders

Find the order you want to cancel in your orders list.

Open Order Details

Click on the order to view its details. Check the current status to confirm cancellation is possible.

💡 Tip: If the order is CONFIRMED or PROCESSING, use the order chat to inform the supplier before canceling.

Click Cancel Order Button

Scroll down to the "Cancel Order" section on the order details page. Click the red "Cancel Order" button.

⚠️ Note: If you don't see the Cancel Order button, the order status doesn't allow cancellation (likely OUT_FOR_DELIVERY or DELIVERED).

Confirm Cancellation

A confirmation dialog will appear asking you to confirm the cancellation. Click "Confirm" to proceed.

What happens next:

  • • Order status changes to CANCELLED
  • • Supplier receives cancellation notification
  • • You receive confirmation notification
  • • Order appears in your order history as cancelled

Cancellation Best Practices

Communicate First

Always inform the supplier via order chat or messages before canceling, especially for confirmed orders. This maintains good business relationships and may help resolve issues without cancellation.

Cancel Early

If you need to cancel, do it as soon as possible. The earlier you cancel, the less impact it has on the supplier's operations.

Provide Reason

Use order chat to explain why you're canceling. This helps suppliers understand and may prevent similar issues in the future.

Consider Modifications

Instead of canceling, consider asking the supplier to modify the order. They may be able to adjust quantities or items to meet your needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I be charged if I cancel an order?

Generally, there are no charges for canceling orders, especially if done early (PENDING or CONFIRMED status). However, check with your supplier about their specific cancellation policy.

Can the supplier refuse my cancellation?

Once you click Cancel Order in the system, the order is cancelled. However, if the order is already being processed or delivered, you may need to work with the supplier on returns or refunds.

What if I cancel by mistake?

Contact the supplier immediately via messages or order chat. They may be able to recreate the order for you, or you can place a new order with the same items.

Can I partially cancel an order?

No, you can only cancel the entire order. If you want to remove specific items, contact the supplier and ask them to propose order modifications instead.

How do I know if my cancellation was successful?

You'll receive a notification confirming the cancellation, and the order status will change to CANCELLED. You can also check the order details page to verify.
